Kylemore Group awarded the contract for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food

Before taking up her new position as Taniste, Mary Coughlan TD officially welcomed The Kylemore Group to the Department of Agriculture restaurant on Kildare Street. Awarded through a tender process the three year catering, restaurant and hospitality operation will have a turnover of €450K per annum.

Michael Gleeson, Kylemore Chief Operating Officer believes “in a market substantially dominated by large multinational catering organisations, Kylemore a wholly Irish owned organisation offers complete innovative food solutions, with a plan to expand and further develop our catering operations in 2008 / 2009, we prepare to double our turnover to €80 million with a significant increase in employee numbers throughout Ireland” Gleeson continues “The recent announcements show Kylemore’s unique proposition to the Irish market based on a clear understanding of the current and anticipated market needs, innovative approach to food production, menu’s, pricing and marketing.”

Kylemore’s focus on Irish produce was an important consideration for the Department of Agriculture, along with Kylemore’s focus on innovation, continuous improvement and service standards.
