Since 2004, Kylemore at St. James Hospital brings institutional catering in Ireland to a new level.  Devoid of all the images traditionally associated with Institutional catering and in particular hospital food, Kylemore at St. James Hospital offers strong retail brands in a comfortable, stylish area in the hospital. 

Offering a range of products and services on different levels we cater for all needs.  Pure Juice Bar and Coffee Cuisine on the ground level provide the very latest in food trends and innovations. Upstairs the choices develop to include a Kylemore sandwich bar offer, providing a fresh range of made to order sandwiches wraps and paninis, Quiznos Sub and a traditional Kylemore café.  The traditional Kylemore hot food range offers ‘food for the soul’ where delicious meals are prepared in a caring way.  The emphasis is always on fresh food, the best of natural ingredients, cooked and stored to maintain their nutritious content.  Menu rotation is critical for those staff members who enjoy a meal in Kylemore every day.

Kylemore won the contract to operate the café in the Coombe Women’s hospital in 2007 and immediately set about creating a haven in this hospital environment.  This unit received a major overhaul and introduced were fresh food counters including a made to order sandwich counter, grab and go selection, a Starbucks coffee offer and delicious pastry range.  This is a luxurious place for those in the hospital to unwind and relax be it waiting on an appointment, waiting on news, visiting a friend or relative or taking time from the working day.   

Our primary focus was to create a restaurant experience for Hospital employees and visitors that provides an extensive branded high quality food range, excellent service and value for money with the restaurant produced being a standard compatible with the best available in the high street today.  We cater for people with every need, from simple baby chairs and a dedicated children’s play area with kids sized sofa’s, to the disabled and even the weary an extra member of staff is always at hand to carry your tray and assist you with finding a table.
